Bird's Nest Crafts & Gifts: About Me

I've opened a shop in our big red barn near Shipshewana, IN. If you're coming to the flea market, check it out; my info is at the visitors center. I have all the products listed on this blog, plus more, and am excited at the prospect of selling locally. I've added antiques, the stone birdhouses and little amish shoes with "hen and chicks" growing in them. I'm enjoying interacting with people, and being creative in my displays. I love making the vintage look aprons...just like Grandma wore. And my grandchildren love the look-alike apron. Children also like to dress their dolls in a matching apron. I'm also making baby bonnets, boys and girls, from hankies. They can wear them as a baby; then by taking out a stitch or two, they can use the hankie on their wedding day.

Bird's Nest will not be opening with regular hours this summer, instead we will have a GARAGE SALE/BARN SALE the first saturday of each month. We are located 2 1/2 miles south of Shipshewana, on S.R. 5, then go left (east) 4 driveways, on the right (south) side of the road....same drive as Yoder Popcorn, just on back the lane.

They each describe different items, (along with pictures,) such as birdhouses, aprons, row markers, etc. If you want to order something, you can always call, and pick up on the first saturday of each month.
